Stars Align in Houston as the Legends Assemble for 2013 All-Star Weekend
Houston Legends of Basketball All-Star Weekend
Houston got a special treat Saturday night as Calvin Murphy, Moses Malone, and Elvin Hayes hosted the NBRPA’s Legends of Basketball All-Star Weekend Red Carpet Soiree, "Night of A thousand Stars". The event capped off a weekend of youth clinics and community outreach programs as the NBRPA brought fans and legends together in celebration of the game.
Hall of Fame center Artis Gilmore was among the attendees Saturday night and praised the event. “It’s good.,” Gilmore said. “It’s not often that you have a group of guys who were formally very competitive and now the association’s relationship is so different, it’s enjoyable. ” All photography for posters, banners and other images provided by Ken Jones Photography. Finnigan Park, Boys and Girls Club, and Wheatley High School There will be approximately 40 Legends on site to teach all facets of basketball offensive and defensive skills. All Participants will be admitted without charge and limited to the first 400 to enroll. |
